One + One = One

Having been taught to believe without question all my life that one and one equaled or added up to or combined into two, it was astonishing to see with my own eyes and to know that one plus one equaled ONE; when while taking a shower one morning a drop of water ran down and met a
second drop of water on the shower wall: and bless my soul, I kid you not; two became one. This happening has stayed with me and has grown over the years as consciousness expands and expands until it includes all there is.

If we really know one drop of water, we know all water. If one drop of water is placed on a table and a second drop is added to it  - 1+1=1! If, returning a bit later and seeing that the drop is no longer there, we might think it is gone. But lo! it is just not on the table, it has become invisible in the air as part of the humidity in the room. The drop of water in the air becomes part of the water in our bodies as we breathe. We exchange this drop of water with each other as we talk and perspire, thus water on my body connects me with other people in the room.

Just think about this, no matter how many drops of water we add together we will have only one body of water. We could move the entire oceans on the Earth drop by drop some place and... well you get the picture. If we go to the moon and sit in meditation - my favorite place from which to view life on Earth - we will see the planet almost covered with water, resting in its one drop of atmosphere, just hanging out there in the breath of God, no visible means of support. Visibility held firmly in invisibility. All life on Earth contained in a single drop of water.

When my children were young, we subscribed to a magazine, Ranger Rick.  I'll never forget one article titled, 'The Universe is an Ecosystem - a drop of Pond Water is an Ecosystem'.  Knowing that things equal to the same thing are equal to each other, I asked a 'scientist' if the universe is a drop of pond water. The scientist said no, that is faulty logic. I just smile and think to myself - maybe it's too soon to know, maybe it depends on your point of view - where you stand when you look at the situation, what you take to be true. As for me, all is one. One life shares one heartbeat. When my I - my spiritual 'eye' is single - yes, I in Roman numerals is ONE.  Well, those of us who slip into the superconsciousness zone never know when we will need to be awake to the next spiritual experience. Normal - I HOPE SO. This poor, tired world needs to rethink most everything we have been 'taught' to take to be true. Where do you do your best connecting with the All? Driving down the road, in the shower, weeding the garden, hiking in the woods, in dreams, - come out, come out where ever you are. You are not weird, you are seeing for the first time. Fear not! you are experiencing the new normal. You are waking up!
