The Ancient Hawaiian’s had a wisdom of Spirituality that is resurfacing on the planet today, whose tenets form the bases of what I like to describe as the New Spirituality – A Return to Nature. Their belief system is called KAHUNA ( ka means “to keep” and huna means “secret”) taught that everything and everyone in nature is a manifestation of Manna (eternal energy). This ancient Polynesian wisdom says that we, and everything (organic and inorganic) is a living energy system that evolved from one source and is related and will always be inseparable. The Nature Cure Doctors of 250 years ago believed, and demonstrated that each of us is born with a vital energy force that is the real healing for all the ills of nature. Their medicine works to allow this energy force to do what it was designed to do as it heals the human and animal spirit. Einstein spent his life searching for that fundamental law of nature that will be expressed in a simplified theory of everything but was not successful. However, today as the complex principles of quantum physics becomes more fully understood and the laws of nature unfold in its beauty, we are experiencing an evolution in spiritual/soul understanding. Doctors; Gary E. R. Schwartz, PhD and Linda G.S. Russek, PhD in their book, “The Living Energy Universe” have a wonderful name for this – ‘Spirit-Assisted’ Medicine. In this lesson we will explore the nature of this vital energy force, Spirit, Soul, God, which is required for our healings. Too often we look at this as the protected field of our religious leaders rather than the vibrant and living entity that is within each of us and accessible to all of us if we but call on it. Healings can not be accomplished by our medical doctors without this vital force, nor can our spiritual leaders heal without the acknowledgement of the laws of nature that allow the vital force to do its work. Because of the depth of this area of inquiry, it may require two series of lessons before we can even begin to have a comprehension of the subject. Hence, I’ve entitled the Mar/Apr lesson Part I, and the May/June lesson Part II. To be sure we are all on the same wave link lets start with a few definitions: some of them are more fully discussed in previous e-institute lessons which I will not repeat here due to space. Spirit: Many times spirit and soul are used interchangeably. The strict definitions may vary between authors. When I use them they are often interchangeable so my readers do not need to get bogged down in philosophy. Sometimes we may mean spirit in its generic sense as an invisible being; he may be a good or bad spirit depending upon your interpretation of his actions at the time. But usually I refer to that divine spark in each human being. It is the lieutenant for the master soul. At the time of transition, the spirit is the only part of the human experience that leaves this earthly plane to rendezvous with its soul master, there to develop the plans for the next incarnation for the spirit to experience in another body. The spirit also contains the memories from the life just lived as well as holographic lessons from all past life experiences. Soul: The soul is that being from which the spirit springs. Every living human and animal has a soul. It is that journey of the souls evolution that distinguishes the humans from the animal kingdom. The soul progresses through levels of awareness culminating in the humans, which sits at the apex of the incarnation of the physical manifestation of the soul. Your individual soul while in this incarnation is a holographic representation of the master soul still residing in the higher energy levels we humans refer to as heaven. Your soul is that part of you that is immortal. Bell’s Theorem: is a mathematical construct but it implies that at a deep and fundamental level, the “separate parts” of the universe are connected in an intimate and immediate way. What this means for us is that we are all one and inseparable from all life. Refer to the earlier lesson, “The Healing Art Part IV” from June 2003. Vital Force: An intelligent force that pervades the whole universe and everything in it. The Chinese called this force Qi, and the Indians call it Chakra. This force is the procedure by which healing occurs. Energy: Energy is a basic concept of physics and has many forms. Energy is present in the Universe in many different forms, and any physic text will devote a majority of its efforts to understandings of the many forms of energy. For our purposes, lets think about the electromagnetic energy forms, as I believe the energy present in the spiritual world is probably a form of electromagnetic energy we can only theorize and will never be able to measure. This inability to measure is what drives the scientific mind crazy. In the spirit world we are dealing with concepts that cannot be experienced on this Earthly plane so, we need to elevate our thinking above that which we can see. Quantum physics has given us a glimpse of that world. Energy is a phenomenon we cannot see, only experience its results. Different forms of energy can be converted from one form to another which is important as we consider the mechanism of the transfer of spirit from this Earthly frequency to that of the spiritual world. Energy can absorb energy from another source, which is how it changes from a zero state E0 to a higher state E∞. As you move from 0 > ∞ the energy levels get closer together and as you move closer to ∞ they become continuous. Energy and frequency are also related; according to the Planck (Max Planck 1858-1947) energy of a quantum packet is proportional to the frequency of the electromagnetic wave. Lets keep these concepts in mind as we think about the how this energy applies to the electromagnetic spectrum (see below) and the spirit world. Religion: Refers to the faith and beliefs of the people. Generally meaning a faith or belief in a Supreme Being and Creator of life and the universe, to be worshiped and obeyed with reverence and ritual. To become very conscientious or earnest about something that forms your belief foundation. By this definition a belief in atheism is a religion. Sectarianism: Refers to a general organized group of individuals that believe in the same dogma and ritual of a religion. Such as Christian, Jew, Hindu, Buddhist, etc. Denominations: A subgroup of the sect that has splintered off from the main body of beliefs but are still faithful to the same Master. There may be many different denominations within a particular religious sect. Karma: An oriental doctrine related to reincarnation, which teaches that every thought and deed must eventually create its own effects, which must then be endured or enjoyed by the individual concerned. It is another example of the laws of cause and effect, which lies at the foundation of all human events. It is a type of a bank account in which your thoughts and actions can be deposited or withdrawn depending on whether they are good or bad as it relates to your individual divine plan. At the time of your transition your balance will determine if you will need to return in another incarnation to pay off any debit balances. Reincarnation: As a religious belief, the doctrine of reincarnation is intimately connected with ideas about karma, the concept of cosmic balance echoed in the Christian precept that “Whatsoever a man soweth, so also shall he reap.” (Quoted from the Body Mind & Spirit Dictionary by Eileen Campbell & J.H. Brennan). Origen (A.D. 185- 254) St. Gregory of Nyssa called him “the prince of Christian learning in the third century, had this to say about reincarnation in De Principiis, “The soul has neither beginning nor end….. Every soul comes into this world strengthened by the victories or weakened by the defeats of its previous life. Its place in this world as a vessel appointed to honor or dishonor is determined by its previous merits or demerits. Its work in this world determines its place in the world which is to follow…” To my way of thinking, the argument for reincarnation is depended only upon your belief as to whether the body has a soul. If man has a soul it is therefore logical and reasonable to understand that he survives death and his body is discarded. If you believe the body is a biological anomaly then you would have to reject the idea of reincarnation. This is the subject of a past Doc’s Commentary found on the website. There is also an excellent book entitled; Reincarnation an East West Anthology by Head & Cranston that I highly recommend if you wish to delve into the mysteries of this fundamental belief. This book encompasses the thinkers and writer on reincarnation from the earliest times to the present. I think you will be surprised to realize who they are in this 400-page volume. Angels: I believe in angels. My mother was an angel, and is an angel watching over me today. She was called the Angel Lady of St. Petersburg, receiving her first angel form her cousin on the day I was born. Her angel collection was a few thousand angels and was put on display every Christmas within “Angel Haven” which was constructed new every year. But I do believe we each have his/her personal angel that watches over us, and will communicate with us if we will but listen. God: There are many God’s depending on the time, place, and culture which is referenced. As I refer to God in my writings I’m referring to a deity that precedes all physical and non-physical beings, one that is asexual, creator of the universe and everything in it, omnipresent, omnipotent, omniscience, and most all Loving and Forgiving. God is non-denominational and non-sectarian. He is a personal God who I can communicate with whenever I want. I consider Mother Nature another name for God, as nature is the manifestation of God’s reality. In short, God is the supreme being of my understanding. The Physician Within: My Physician resides within me and is my spiritual nature. It guides and protects me. I set him in motion every morning when I say my prayer for protection as I leave the house. I feel it is important each day to make a connection with this Physician, if anything bad has ever happened to me it was on a day I failed to make this connection. I’ve proved the value of this simple protective shield for over fifty years when I first became aware of the connection. Ghost: Or apparitions are usually thought of as spirits who are trying to communicate during a crisis or healing event. I remember when I was a child and my younger brother was very ill with a high fever as children were prone to have in those days, and the family was praying and very concerned whether he would make it through the night. In the morning he was completely healed, energetic, and back to his old self, much to the happiness and surprise of the family. He told us very excitedly that Jesus came to his room during the night; he talked with him and then went right to sleep. Whether this was a figment of his imagination or not is not important – it’s the results that count. These are good ghost, but there can be bad haunting ghost as well. There are also stories from those who do the paranormal research in this area that these “bad” ghosts are souls that have died in tragic situations without preparation that were afraid to leave the earthly plane and follow the light that was offered as a guide. I tend to agree because it seems normal that the psychological state of the person passing often dictates the ease with which they can make their transition. This is why I want to always be prepared, and when I am called home, I know it will be with gratitude and excitement to again be with my spiritual family or group. The hierarchy of Souls: Dr. Michael Newton, Ph.D. a Master Spiritual Hypnotherapist in his book Destiny of Souls describes the afterlife far better than I could. Since the soul is also on a learning adventure, there are levels of souls based on their advancement in the spiritual world as they move closer to the ultimate destiny of man, to sit on the right hand of God. He describes the different structures in the spirit world taken from thousands of regressions. The amazing thing is that most of these descriptions were pretty much alike. It is a heartwarming and uplifting book, particularly for those of you who are grieving the passing of a loved one and I recommend it to you. There is so much detail that is written so simply on a complex subject that I wouldn’t attempt to fully discuss it here. I will say that Dr. Newton’s work has inspired and helped form my beliefs that have changed my outlook on the purposes of life. He has also reinforced many of the beliefs about the afterlife that I’ve held since I was a young man- for this I was thankful. Death: I believe there is no such thing as death. Only the biological activities of our body stops, but the soul and spirit leave the body at this time and return home. Since the spirit has no further use for the body, it is discarded like an old envelope, and the spirit is released to return to its home to make adjustments to the plan and then move into a new body to “hit the road again.” There is a beautiful analogy of death in nature. Consider the lowly caterpillar that has finished his life only to be resurrected as a free and beautiful butterfly. Did the caterpillar die or was it transformed into a higher frequency? BODY: “Pain in life is especially insidious because it can block the healing power of our souls, especially if we have not accepted what is happening to us as a preordained trial. Yet, throughout life, our karma is designed so that each trial will not be too great for us to endure. Journey of Souls Michael Newton, Ph.D. We now know that our bodies are composed of energy at the cellular level. Einstein has also shown us that mass and energy are different manifestations of the same force. We are in reality little energy machines as long as we are fed a diet of good healthy foods our machines will work for 100 + years. Before the soul chooses a body for it to incarnate in, careful consideration is given to the attributes of the physical body. The purpose is to experience the many lessons, to learned to evolve through higher dimensions within the spirit world. Only living and surviving many different challenges in the physical world our souls purpose is strengthened, because the real lessons in life are learned from recognizing and overcoming the challenges of being human. It is only through these lessons that a soul can evolve in the spiritual world and ascend to a higher plane so the physical incarnation is no longer required. All these spirits and soul are examples of the electromagnetic spectrum, which have different properties depending on the frequency of their being. So, lets review the physics of this electromagnetic wave force that plays such an important part in the divine plan. As we increase in our energy frequencies we are elevated to higher and higher energy levels within the spirit world. All within the possibilities of quantum physics. The various types of electromagnetic waves were predicted by Maxwell’s equations and were later verified by instruments and observation. Electromagnetic waves carry energy in space and can transfer energy to any objects in their path. As we start from the long wavelengths with the lower frequencies (the distance between the waves and is measured in Hz - Hertz) are the Radio Waves (approx. 105 – 108 Hz) > Microwaves (approx. 109 – 1011 Hz) > Infrared (approx. 1011 – 1015 Hz) > Visible Light is composed of a number of frequencies around 1015 Hz and is the only electromagnetic force visible to the human eyes. This small range of light is seen by us as seven basic colors > Ultraviolet (approx. 1015 – 1018 Hz) > X-rays (approx. 1016- 1020 Hz) > Gamma rays (approx. 1018 – 1023 Hz). As you can see there is some overlapping of the frequencies. Why is this important to us relative to the spirit world? I believe the frequencies of the souls/spirits in the next world are somewhere between 1025 - 10∞ Hz. I see nothing in the science to indicate this is not likely. Our understanding of the electromagnetic spectrum is based on only the observations and measurements we can make. The scientific foundation for the spiritual world is easily made if we can extend the laws of physic beyond that which we understand within this three-dimensional world we are confined within. The thought of spirits being a higher frequency is easy to understand and makes perfect sense when viewed in this manner. MIND: “I consider human ideas and imagination as emanating from the soul, which provides a catalyst for the human brain.” Journey of the Soul
Michael Newton, Ph.D. Telepathy is the technique used by spirits to communicate among them. Remember, spirits are not physical and hence, do not have a vocal cord, so they talk with their minds. They are resonating at a higher frequency than the spirits in physical form that are stuck in this three-dimensional world. How many times have you had a thought or inspiration which “popped” into your head and had nothing to do with what you were doing or thinking about. These intuitive moments I’m convinced came from the spirit world and it is important that I stop to ponder the meanings or lessons. It is when we disregard such moments that the future doesn’t turn out as productive as it could. So often such inspiration comes at a time we are “stumped” on a problem or debating a direction in our lives. I know it is my spiritual family trying to direct me in the right path and, they ask only to be recognized. Be aware of when those moments come, take the lesson that is being communicated under serious consideration. This is why I know that at the moment of transition of our spirit our minds also go with the spirit. They form the memory bank of the spirit. Science has now shown that the mind is not physically located in our brain holographically is a part of every living cell in our bodies. I refer you to Bell’s Theorem as the foundation for that truth. You can also go to your serenity place and ask for the spiritual family member by name to come to you – then close your conscious mind so you will not be analytical at this time, then wait. They will come to you – they are just waiting to be asked. I have talked (telepathically) with my brother and parents with this method. Since you will be communicating telepathically, don’t be concerned if when you ask a question the answer does not come back verbally as if you were involved in a human communication. You can ask a question verbally, and the spirit will hear, or be aware of the question, but you will probably receive your answer intuitively. Just wait patiently and the answer will come and it may come while you are fully awake and involved in something else at the moment. It may be a “flash of insight.” If something comes into your mind, which has nothing to do with what you thinking about – write it down so you won’t lose it, then give it serious consideration. My experience has indicated that these times are the ways our spirit guides use to communicate with us. Gary Zukav says; “Intuition is the voice of the nonphysical world.” Here is a scary thought. Because your family that has already made their transition is omnipresence all knowing spiritual being, they no longer think or understand as we humans. Love and forgiveness are a part of their nature now. Hence, while they see all that you do, they realize that you are still a mortal being who is still evolving and learning. Your transgressions are lessons you are still forced to learn but they are standing by to help you with the correct choices. If you don’t listen they know you will have another chance to experience the lesson and you are forgiven your fault this time around. Your spirits have already made peace with their transgression in their physical life and they DO NOT JUDGE. Judgment is a human emotion and one we should constantly be on guard to avoid. Hypnosis and meditation are the modalities used to access our spiritual family. The technique is to clear your mind and wait for the inspiration to come to you, which will happen with practice. Don’t give up if it seems hard or impossible at first. SPIRIT: “It has been hypothesized by many spiritual/energy healers that people who live their lives with Love generate a higher frequency of energy/vibration than people who live their lives with hate. Linda G.S. Russek, PhD One of the natural characteristics of Spirit is in the way they communicate, both among their selves and with us. This, of course, brings up the questions of psychics and mediums. Personally I believe the world is full of fraud in these two areas of inquiry, but I also believe that there are legitimate souls also working to help us in this physical plane. The problem is that we must distinguish between the fraudulent and the sincere. I’m not sure I can separate the truth from fiction in this field, but there has been some scientific inquiry into this area, which is what has convinced me of the possibility there is real communication between humans and the spirit world. I know this because I’ve personally communicated with my spirit guides and family members. I also recognize that intuition is the form my spirit/soul communicates with me, all I need to do is become receptive to their efforts. Dreams are a form of communication and often require experience to delve into the interpretation of dreams. I’m not an expert in that area however, there are people that can. These methods to communicate remind me of a modern day analogy, our trusty cell phones that have become a necessity to everyone. As we carry our cell phone with us imagine all the energy waves that are constantly bombarding our bodies but we are not aware of the attempts to communicate. However, when the proper frequency comes it resonates with our receiver the cell phone then we can answer and open the communication channel. The one vibration we are tuned into gets answered among all the millions of other vibrations that are not recognized. So it is with our spiritual communication attempts.
